After 10 years in specialised education, Carole turned to agriculture. She trained at the CFPPA in Charolles as well as in many other places and has been working for 2 years to create "les condiments des sauvages". The farm is located in the Brionnais in the south of the Saône et Loire, in the small village of Vauban.
In this rural area, she grows and harvests vegetables, plants and fruit. In her garden of about 1500 m2, Carole produces with respect for the earth and biodiversity, following economical, sustainable and artisanal methods: no ploughing, no mechanisation, setting up a fruit hedge around and in the vegetable garden, rotation and association of crops, production of compost....
Then, Carole transforms all her production into different ranges of products, all of which are labelled AB:
Sweet products: fruit syrup, chestnut cream, vegetable jam, fruit paste...
Savoury products: pesto, spreads, oil and salt with plants, coulis, gherkins, etc.
Sweet and sour: chutney, onion or shallot confit, ketchup...
Dried: court bouillon, herbal gomasio, various mixtures of dried herbs...
You can find her products at the tourist office in La Clayette, at Vita Nature in Marcigny, the 2 Satoriz in Macon and Bionali in Cluny. She is also present at the Martsi in Saint Julien de Jonzy, every 3rd Friday of the month, at the market in Chalieu, 1 Saturday per month and on occasional events in S&L and surrounding departments.
