Autun’s Saint-Lazare Cathedral, built during the 12th century never fails to amaze, with its architecture, inspired by Gallo-Roman and Cluniac styles. Its porch displays a magnificent tympanum of the Last Judgement. This work, decorated with expressive characters, was created by the sculptor, Gislebertus. He also carved the Temptation of Eve, exhibited in the Musée Rolin. Be sure not to miss the chapter house.
