The first monastery was established in 740 under the name of Saint-Pierre by the Benedictines of Saint-Martin-d'Autun. This church probably replaces the old church of the priory.the parish church would have been built in the 12th century and knew several phases of construction between the 12th and 16th century. Some parts of the building date from the 19th century. Three architectural styles are present: Romanesque, Gothic and Neo-Gothic. Not to be missed: remarkable Romanesque capitals with Burgundian decoration, a 16th century pedestal, a 14th century recumbent. Despite the numerous and often clumsy restorations the church has undergone, the sculpted decoration it has preserved, inspired by the great school of Cluny, is still of real interest today.
