In Venouse, the cistercian barn of Beauvais dominates the river Serein and offers a splendid panorama of the valley. It was built from 1237 for agricultural purposes and served to supply the neighbouring abbey of Pontigny. The site was operated by lay brothers until the XIV century, and then by farmers until the Revolution. Events are organised by the association that restaures the barn.
