Discover the history of a former Royal City through its artists and institutions. Villeneuve-sur-Yonne, which was founded in 1163, still retains important architectural elements (keep, towers, washrooms, church, bridge, fortified gates and coaching inn). The museum’s permanent collections illustrate its past history and highlight the work of contemporary local artists (Peynot, Balké and Mahr).
