Musée du Costume

A thousand and one fashion accessories, from the 18th to the 20th century

Set in a 17th- and 18th-century town house, the 2024 exhibition presents a collection of period costumes and their essential fashion accessories.

Each room is devoted to a different period, with fans and richly embroidered waistcoats from the 18th century complementing basket dresses and French-style suits. The 19th and 20th centuries are presented with the creations of craftsmen, from hatters to bootmakers, from the crinoline era to the 1950s and 1970s.
