The old Maupertuis flour mill dates from the 15th century. It is located in the heart of old Donzy. Now an Ecomuseum, it is listed in the supplementary inventory of historical monuments. Today, the big bucket wheel still turns and the machines work. They invite us to discover, through practice, the gestures of the millers of yesteryear, from the grain of wheat to the flour. Thematic exhibitions on the role of bread and milling accompany this entertaining tour, which will amaze you with a projection room. Almost all the equipment in the mill is original, including roller mills and sieves dating from the last decade of the 19th century. Since 1990 it has been welcoming tourists, but also numerous school classes attracted by the quality and diversity of the activities and workshops on offer. We regularly present our new products to the educational advisors of the National Education Department in the area, in order to gather their remarks and suggestions.
