The Musée du Grès in Saint-Armand-en-Puisaye pays homage to a 400 year old tradition. The region’s subsoil is very rich in clay sandstone, giving rise to the development of sandstone pottery. This material, which is both durable and water resistant, has been used to produce a range of baking ware, which has evolved over time, in keeping with artistic trends. It’s a great opportunity to learn about the expertise of regional craftsmen.
