The Musée Noisot, which stands on the hills of Fixin, was built in 1847, in memory of Napoleon. The building which is a replica of the Emperor’s crenulated “prison,” on Elba, is set in the middle of forest land. Le Réveil de Napoléon à l'immortalité, a sculpture by François Rude and the 100 step staircase in memory of the “One hundred days,” clearly conveys Capitain Noisot’s admiration for Napoleon.
