Located on the banks of the Armançon River and the Burgundy Canal, the Renaissance Palace is built in the heart of a magnificent 50-hectare park, one of the largest castle parks in the region. Vast stables and flowerbeds, a farm on the courtyard, orangery, formal garden, English garden with "Folie" (18th), pond, streams, bridges, century-old trees, horse park, fountains and 2 new garden creations, the East and West flowerbeds, awarded at the Victoires du Paysage 2018.

Self-guided tours: 10 February to 15 December, Tuesday to Sunday and all public holidays. Low season opening times: 10am to 12.30pm and 2pm to 5pm (from Easter to All Saints' Day, closes at 6pm). July and August: 10 am to 6 pm. Monday afternoons from 2pm to 6pm.
Group visits all year round by prior arrangement (except 16/12/2024 to 05/01/2025).

COVID-19 - HEALTH SECURITY MEASURES CHATEAU D'ANCY LE FRANC In compliance with the recommendations of the public authorities regarding the fight against Covid-19 and in order to welcome visitors in the best conditions, the Château d'Ancy le Franc has set up a STRICT sanitary plan of which some of the measures are the following 1 - Establishment of a gauge in each room - A capacity has been established, in accordance with government directives, on the basis of a standard of 4 m2 per person. The capacity of the rooms and halls will be indicated on "Limited Access" signs in front of the entrance to each room. - In total, there will be 2,500 m2 of visitor space in the castle and 50,000 m2 in the park. 2 - Implementation of measures to regulate the flow of visitors in and out of the castle. - In order to avoid direct crossings and to limit congestion, a one-way visitor route has been adapted and a new exit established through the west gate. Priority traffic signs have been put in place. 3 - Permanent respect of barrier gestures and the principle of physical distancing: - Wearing a mask is compulsory for all visitors and employees (except for children under 11) - All visitors must give up coming if they have a fever - Visitors are asked to wash their hands on arrival, before entering the reception/shop (toilets at the entrance) - Plexiglass screen at the reception counter and provision of hydro-alcoholic gel - The receptionist disinfects his or her hands between each interaction. - Reminder of barrier gestures and a minimum distance of 1 metre between people. People in the same group (family or friends) are encouraged to move together. - Specific signage is put in place: circulation, reminder of barrier gestures and social distancing on the route, marking on the ground at strategic points - In the shop, only a specimen of each item is displayed in order to avoid any exchange of contact - With a few exceptions, any item touched must be purchased - Visitors are asked to touch the surfaces on the tour route as little as possible (but use the handrails on the stairs) - It is forbidden to touch furniture, LEGO installations, plexiglass barriers and exhibits in the rooms and to run around the rooms. - Hold your children by the hand and supervise them 4 - Introduction of booking and payment measures adapted to health issues: - Online ticketing is strongly recommended on www.chateau-ancy.com (Advance booking possible with time stamp) EVEN AT THE CASTLE - Payment by contactless bank card is encouraged The payment terminal is disinfected after each payment. 5 - Measures relating to visits and site activities - Only free visits (castle, exhibition, park and gardens) are offered - (surveillance in the rooms - regular rounds - and video surveillance) - Audio guide to be downloaded free of charge from www.chateau-ancy.com - If the visitor wishes to have an audio guide or visit document (not recommended, but available if necessary). These devices are disinfected before and after each use - Guided tours, tastings and educational workshops / LEGO workshops are cancelled until further notice (groups of less than 10 people including guide and accompanying person, subject to reservation) 6 - Reinforcement of hygiene and disinfection measures: The reception/shop and sanitary areas are cleaned and disinfected twice a day and constantly aired. The most exposed handrails, handles and surfaces are disinfected twice a day and the floors are cleaned every day.
