Sources of Ouche - Lusigny-sur-Ouche The Ouche is a meeting of 7 sources including that of Presles miraculous spring; is credited with cures for meningitis and backache. To access it, you need to leave your vehicle at the cemetery and then take the path of Presles 1500m. There, at the bottom of a narrow wooded valley, stretches a long, green meadow, always cool, even in summer. The source of Presles, the official symbol of the sources of Ouche, is accessed by a double staircase leading to a rock cave from the road. In the cave, built in 1931, sits a statue of a Madonna and child of the sixteenth century. At the foot of the cave, a basin collects water for the sick and the pilgrims, who, as in Lourdes, come to implore the Virgin. There were between 1000 and 1500 pilgrims coming to pray every year before the Virgin, from 1930 to 1945.
