Pontus de Tyard castle is the crade of one of the founders of ‘La Pléïade’: Pontus de Tyard, a great humanist poet. This ancient Medieval stronghouse was modified in the XVI century, it posesses 6 round and square towers as well as a dovecot located in the adjoining garden. Restored, brought to life and enhanced by an association, the castle goes together with an orchard dedicated to preserving ancient varieties of fruits.
