Built in 1705 by Alphonse de Lamartine’s great-grandfather, initially built to serve as a “fermenting room” on the wine estate, that’s the house where the poet lived his entire childhood and teenage years. This family home to which he was very much attached inspired some of his most beautiful poems. It is nowadays classified ISMH (listed monument on the French supplementary list of historic monuments). Space for books and documents about the poet’s childhood, his sources of literary inspiration and the wine-growing activity. Garden.
