The Orle d’Or Tower is the emblem of the medieval town of Semur-en-Auxois. It is also know as the “fendue” tower or the Lourdault tower. It was the centrepiece of the Semur donjon, a witness to ducal authority. The tower also garded one of the town’s entrances in ancient times. Reopened to visitors, it unfurls its stairs that you can climb for 5 floors and enjoy an exceptional view over the Auxois region.
