Les Papillons

Welcome to The Butterflies. Situated in a small, quiet and welcoming village in the heart of Burgundy, this old house dating from 1826 was completely renovated respecting the authentic character. It is ideally situated between the vineyards of Chablis, Beaune and Champagne, and close to major tourist sites such as the Abbey of Fontenay, the medieval villages of Flavigny-sur-Ozerain and Noyers-sur-Serein, and the MuséoParc Alésia.

On the ground floor: well equipped kitchen-dining room with Burgundian fireplace; a very comfortable living room with television (French and English), DVD player, a selection of DVDs, Wifi and board games; separate toilet. High chair and cot on request.

First floor: two beautiful independent bedrooms, each with a double bed (150 x 200), anti-allergenic duvets and pillows, and hairdryer; a bathroom with shower and WC separates the bedrooms. For your comfort, sheets and towels are provided. The house is heated with electric radiators (according to consumption in winter) and a charming wood stove in the kitchen (free wood). Animals are welcome with the owner's agreement

Outside, the serene walled garden is surrounded on two sides by trees, perfect for listening to the song of the birds. There is a variety of garden furniture, sun loungers and an above-ground (unheated) swimming pool. We have two bicycles on loan, balls and two tennis and badminton rackets.

In the area, you will enjoy the walks around the village and the beautiful forests of the Châtillonnais and Montbardois; kilometres of empty roads for road bikes; mountain bike trails and visits to historical sites and amusement parks (Nigloland at 1h, Parc de l'Auxois at 35 min; Centre Aquatique Montbard at 15 min). In addition, we are 15 minutes from the Montbard TGV station which serves directly Paris and Disneyland Paris (1 hr), Dijon (35 min) and Lille (1.5 hr).
