Anchored in their geopolitical context, demographic movements and social changes, the Olympic and Paralympic Games are a window on history, offering a glimpse not only of an era, but also of the world.
Through the itineraries of athletes with extraordinary destinies, such as Jesse Owen (Berlin, 1936), Emil Zátopek (Helsinki 1952) and Marie-José Pérec (Atlanta, 1996), discover how the Games shed new light on the past and the present, highlighting the civic values and extraordinary stories of sportsmen and women who have left their mark on contemporary history.
