Village de Saint-Seine-l'Abbaye
Near the sources of the Seine, one of the prettiest villages in the Côte-d'Or was established on the limestone plateau around the abbey founded in the 6th century by Saint Sequanus. Of the famous Benedictine abbey adorned with the royal title under Louis XIV, there remains the private abbey park with two wings of the cloister and the 18th century palace which has become the headquarters of the Tourist Office, but it is above all the abbey church with its unique tower which attracts the traveller.
