Site d'escalade - Chardonnay

This quarry, which has been neglected for some years, has been given a new lease of life with a complete refit in 2022, thanks to the support of the local council and the département. The site offers few routes, but is nevertheless interesting for its climbing, ease of access and north face (very rare in the département). Ideal for groups and families, the foot of the route lends itself perfectly to relaxing days with a wide, comfortable space... The north and west sectors are ideal for climbing on hot days, and you'll always find a shady spot... The rock is limestone, which varies in colour from white to dark yellow ochre depending on the orientation.
The site offers climbing that is often demanding and physical, requiring good reading. The routes are not always very homogeneous and boulder steps are frequent. Be careful when you climb, as the rock is sometimes "brittle". For your safety, stay as far as possible in line with the points, as the areas that cannot be climbed are not cleared.
