Formerly a sand pit, the Moulin de Préblin park covers nearly 9 hectares
Part of the park is now landscaped as an urban type area. From this domesticated territory, one enters the heart of a wilder nature with the banks of the pond, the wood, the meadow ... which offer an ideal space to discover nature at the gates of the city.
Designed by the Rosemary Association of the Yonne, a botanical trail follows the perimeter of the pond and goes through the undergrowth. The walker who takes this educational route discovers areas of plant curiosities and a wide variety of fauna in harmony with the site. Metal animal sculptures decorate the whole.
The Moulin de Préblin pond is an artificial water reservoir, fed by groundwater and by the Vieux-Migennes and Préblin streams. After passing under the Canal de Bourgogne, the water from the pond flows into the Armançon.
