Since 2022, the Combattants Volontaires de la Résistance (CVR) of the Cluny-Mâcon-Chalon section have been working on a project to mark the old demarcation line, the border imposed by the enemy from 1940 to 1943. The engraved posts are located at former German checkpoints. You can find out more about local history at the information desks.
The commune of Lux was crossed by the demarcation line from 1940 to 1943.
When the square was redeveloped, the town council drew a red line on the ground to mark the former German barrier.
