Ligne de démarcation - ancien poste de contrôle allemand - Poteau

Since 2022, the Combattants Volontaires de la Résistance (CVR) of the Cluny-Mâcon-Chalon section have been working on a project to mark the old demarcation line, the border imposed by the enemy from 1940 to 1943. The engraved posts are located at former German checkpoints. You can find out more about local history at the information desks.

The commune of Verdun sur le Doubs was crossed by the demarcation line, following the Saône and Doubs rivers.
A German checkpoint was located at the entrance to the Bragny bridge.
