On the bank of the Serein, in the town centre, a few metres from the remarkable church of Saint Peter and Saint Paul, a long washhouse has been built, with a wooden frieze along its roof, supported by eleven cast iron pillars. On one of the doors you can read the engraved inscription "lavoir public". One can see statues of washerwomen at work in a flowery decor when the season and the moment are appropriate.
