The neo-Romanesque church of Saint-Martin-de-Salencey was built according to the plans of the Charolles architect, André Della Jogna, in 1877, and the work was completed in 1878. However, twenty years later, in 1898, the double arches of the nave, which were detached from the side walls, were raised. The repair work began in 1899 and was completed in 1901, followed by the architect Mazoyer de Salencey.
