The small rural church of Vaux-en-Pré, well set on the terrace which was the old cemetery and to which one reaches by a high staircase, is well oriented. The church is entirely Romanesque. To see: the high bell tower; the facade with Lombardy bands; inside, the carpentry nave and the frescoes (13th - 16th century).
The church of Saint Roch de Vaux-en-Pré, under the name of Notre-Dame de l'Assomption, of the old diocese of Mâcon and of the archpriesthood of Rousset, was already united with Genouilly in 1513. After the Ancien Régime, the parish became an annex of Saint Clément-sur-Guye and the commune had to struggle to maintain the old church. The oldest part is the small nave dating from the middle of the 11th century and nowadays it is covered by a wall. Listed as a historical monument in 1954
