The Saint-Pierre church was built in the 13th century. The population of the city increased, so it was necessary to create 2 new parishes to accommodate the new faithful: the parish of Saint-Pierre in the upper part of the city and the parish of Saint-Jacques, since destroyed
The Saint-Pierre church is located at the intersection of the roads to Champagne and Paris. Completely redesigned in the 17th century, it was sold as national property in 1793. After being transformed into various warehouses, the former Saint-Pierre church became a grocery store in 1921, an activity that ceased in 1995. Today, it is being restored and hosts the municipal band, exhibitions and concerts
