The Negus is a soft chocolate caramel coated in baked sugar. It was created in 1902 by Maison Grelier following the official visit to Nevers of the sovereign of Ethiopia: the Negus. Indeed, it was traditional to create a new candy at the end of each year to which was given the name of an event or a significant fact that took place during the year. Confiserie Lyron, which has been the trademark holder since 1909, continues the same production process
