KURA is a traditional Japanese food manufacturer based in the Charolais region, where Burgundy and Japan meet.
KURA uses traditional Japanese recipes with local organic ingredients: French organic soya, organic rice from the Camargue or Italy, Nature & Progrès IGP Guérande salt.
KURA offers Japanese sakes (for tasting and cooking), condiments (misos, "real" tamari extracted from miso) and beers with a Japanese touch (barley, kôji malted rice, Sorachi and local wild hops).
All our products are based on adapting the ancestral Japanese Koji malting process to the varieties of cereals (rice, barley) and pulses available in France (soya, chickpeas, lentils). Our products are made exclusively from natural fermentation, without preservatives or additives.
In particular, local production means we can offer unpasteurised misos that retain their probiotic and organoleptic qualities.
KURA products are distributed in organic and bulk shops, delicatessens and wine merchants, as well as to chefs, currently focusing on the Lyon, Burgundy and Ile de France regions.
