La Ferme de l'Abbaye de la Pierre-qui-Vire, located in the heart of Burgundy on the edge of the Morvan, owes its name to the place where the monastery was established in 1850, near a dolmen: la Pierre-qui-Vire. It maintains on the lands of the Abbey a herd of 80 Brown Alpine dairy cows and 100 Chamois Alpine goats. The milk production is processed on site into various farmhouse cheeses of high quality and reputation. For more than forty years, the entire farm has been run under the methods of Organic Agriculture.
