Le Tilleul de Chaignay

The lime tree located at the place called La Maladière has impressive dimensions. It is 33 metres high and its circumference reaches 3.66 metres. More than 200 years old, it is for the inhabitants of the commune a place of gathering. This tree was classified as a remarkable tree in 2018 by the association ARBRES for its natural and cultural heritage interest.

You will discover a remarkable natural heritage including the linden "de la Maladière" dating from 220 years, but also the Fountain of Métepain which is today one of the LPO (Bird's Protection Association) reserve pond near the wash house.
