Housed in a hostellerie dating from 1742, close to the canal bridge over the Loire, the Digoin Ceramics Museum houses some 8,000 pieces in 14 rooms. The guided tour brings to life a history that extends beyond the region. The panorama is as vast as it is varied: from a Gallo-Roman kiln from the 2nd century, to the memory of Digoin's production since 1770, via manufacturing and decoration techniques, this visit is also a real bath in family ceramics. Alongside rare pieces, visitors will find the crockery that has marked their lives, and those of their parents and grandparents.
