École-musée de Champagny
Those nostalgic for purple ink and sergeant-major pens come to take their place behind one of the slate-encrusted desks of this country school for a dictation. School maxims, the Vidal-Delablache map, notebooks filled by generations of schoolchildren, lessons on the blackboard, everything has remained as the last teacher left it when she closed the school in 1954. Next door, the tiny one-room staff quarters is furnished with the alcove bed and desk of the teacher Albert Duthu, who taught several generations of pupils from 1889 to 1911.
