Get off the D606! Discover the charm of the village of Arcy-sur-Cure. Signs explaining our heritage will help you along the way.
Start of the walk: Place Pasteur (sign in front of the grocer's shop) in the heart of the village. Head towards the 18th-century donkey bridge (sign to the left of the parapet wall). Enjoy the banks of the Cure and the open-air wash-house. The third stop takes you to the area around Saint Martin's church and the Digogne enclosure (visible from the bridge). To get there, go around the town hall to the right (sign in front of the church). To discover our châteaux, retrace your steps. In front of the town hall, turn left into Rue du Château until you reach the intersection with the GR 13 (fourth signpost). This long-distance footpath overlooks the river and runs alongside buildings of great character: the 18th-century Château de Vieux Champs, the 14th-century former fortified house of Cobarde and the Renaissance-style Château du Chastenay in Val Sainte Marie. A journey through the centuries... Return by the same route.
In the hamlet of Le Beugnon, you'll find the elegant Renaissance-style chapel of Saint Roch (open for cultural events).
Gîtes, B&Bs and campsites are available for longer stays.
