Start from the Place de la Mairie.
(D/A) Go around the church to the right (follow the path alongside the lime trees). Join the Rue de la Chapelle. Before the petrol station, turn left into Rue des Courgelles. Take the first turning on the right. At the large bend in the road, leave the road to go straight on. At the T-junction, turn right.
(1) Take the tarmac lane on the left as far as the next crossroads. Enter and cross the hamlet of La Villeneuve on the right-hand lane and continue eastwards. The road ends in a track. Leave the next one to the left and start climbing.
(2) At the junction with the D6, go straight ahead and follow the road to the next crossroads. Continue along the right-hand track.
(3) When you reach the road, the highest point of the Montagne des Alouettes (378m) is 100m along on the left. Follow this road down to the right until you reach the D6.
(4) Cross the D6 and continue straight ahead on the dirt track.
(5) Cross the D66 and take the track opposite. Continue straight on until you reach the next tarmac road.
(6) The road ahead curves round, turn right. Continue for 400m.
(7) Turn left onto the stony track. Leave the right and left tracks to reach the D3 or D5 (change of department). Leaving the farm on the left, turn right onto this road for 300m.
(8) Turn left towards Les Murailles and follow the road down to the cross. Turn right at the cross.
(9) At the end of the track, take the road for 50m. Turn left along the walls of the Château de Flassy. Continue along the road.
(10) Walk past the merry-go-round well and, between the farm entrance on the left and the house on the right, take the left-hand path.
(11) At the T junction, turn right and continue straight on to the next crossroads. Turn right and drive for approximately 500m.
(12) At this junction of 3 paths, take the hairpin path on the left. Leave the next one on the right and join the crossroads. Cross this road and continue.
(13) At a junction of 5 roads, take the second on the right. Join the D3.
(14) Follow this road for 200m, leaving it for a track on the left with houses on the right. Cross the next tarmac road. Leave the sports ground on the left and end up on the D66.
(15) Turn right to reach the starting village (D/A).
