(D/A) Start from the forecourt of Saint-Julien church.
Follow the Route de Saint-Sauveur for 100m, then turn right onto Rue du Guichet. At the crossroads, turn left and after about 300m, take the path on the left for about 1300m.
(1) Take the track on the right which leads to a small lane which you must take on the right as far as the junction with the D3 road. Take the road opposite.
(2) Turn slightly right and then immediately left. This avoids going through the hamlet of Colangette.
(3) At the Carouge crossroads, go straight ahead on the dirt track for about 1400m without worrying about whether you are coming from the right or the left. At the crossroads, turn right and join the D4 road.
(4) At this road, turn right for 50m, then up the left-hand track until you come to a large bend in the road onto a tarmac lane. Turn right and continue along this lane. At the next fork in the road, take the right-hand road for 100m and then the left-hand dirt track, passing the Puits des Champs.
(5) Continue until you reach the next tarmac road. Turn left onto this road and enter the village of Grangette.
(6) At the junction of 4 roads, turn right towards Pesselières, leaving it at the next sharp bend to turn right onto the dirt track.
This track curves round to the right, then take the next left onto the D73.
(7) Cross this road and take the right-hand track in the undergrowth. From this point onwards, there are many tracks marked on the ground.
Refer to the practical information and mountain bike signs. Go south-west, leaving the quarries on your left and following the wooded strip.
(8) Go straight ahead.
(9) Pass the stadium on your right and turn left at the crossroads.
The road ends in a forest track, leaving all the paths on the right and left until you reach the wood at the end of the descent.
(10). At the end of the wood, turn 90° to the right and follow the edge of the Roichat wood to the next road. At the tarmac road, turn right and follow the road for approximately 800m.
(11) Take the left-hand path, then 150m and turn right, keeping to this path until you reach the next road to cross (D3). After 200m, turn right, cross the road again and follow the path down to the Moulery spring.
(12) Go back up to the road, cross it and take the dirt track.
On this path, there is a lovely view of the hamlet of Moulery. Turn right once, then left once, then right twice to reach the Gémigny washhouse.
(13) Keep to the left to reach the Boutaut spring.
(14) Make a U-turn, go through Gémigny on Rue des Cours, then turn left onto Rue des Lavoirs and keep going until you reach the Panny spring.
(15) Go north-west up the road. At the first crossroads, turn right, then immediately left onto the track. At the next crossroads, turn right and at the top of the climb, turn right to join the D73 road.
(16) Cross this road and then take the track opposite, leaving it at the next crossroads to turn left and then right into the village of La Forêt.
(17) Take the right-hand road (D211) as far as the reservoirs (on the left). Take the dirt track heading south-east. At the bottom of the descent, turn left onto the D73.
