From Saint-Jean-le-Priche and its château, a fine Louis-Philippe-style structure built around 1840, the route heads east towards the Naisse and Marverat woods. It offers a beautiful forest trail punctuated by a few areas of farmland and hedged farmland, and passes over the quarries at Saint-Martin-Belle-Roche before reaching the quarries at La Salle. The return journey along the Voie Bleue takes in the old towpath and the peaceful atmosphere of the banks of the Saône.
