This 553km-long, moderately-difficult route (the eastern half of the department is much more hilly than the western half) will take you on a journey of discovery through the Nièvre, taking in its different basins: the Loire, Puisaye, the Nivernais Canal and the Morvan.
The route passes through the following towns and villages in particular: Nevers, La Charité-sur-Loire, Pouilly-sur-Loire, Saint-Amand-en-Puisaye, Menou, Clamecy, Chevroches, Corbigny, Lormes, Quarré-les-Tombes, Montsauche-les-Settons, Ouroux-en-Morvan, Chaumard, Arleuf, Larochemillay, Saint-Honoré-les-Bains, Luzy, Decize, Dornes, Saint-Pierre-le-Moûtier and Magny-Cours.
Small gear ratios are highly recommended (MORVAN obliges).
