The Canal du Nivernais cycle route (V51)

In the middle of nature, this exceptional 174 km cycle route (from Saint-Léger-des-Vignes to Auxerre) follows the towpath of the Nivernais Canal and some small secondary roads.
The Véloroute du canal du Nivernais (V51) is exclusively dedicated to pedestrians, bicycles and all non-motorised vehicles.

Ideal for a family outing far from tiring passes and dangerous descents, you will discover an incredible site with numerous engineering structures: locks, stone bridges and drawbridges, lock houses, in a bucolic setting with a wide variety of trees and flowers. In complete safety, you will appreciate this haven of peace where nature is radiant! A return to your roots!
