The VélOeno71: following in the footsteps of the emblematic Chardonnay

Chardonnay, often referred to as the 'king of white grapes', produces wines that are world-renowned for their richness, complexity and elegance. Although it has travelled the world, successfully establishing itself in many wine-growing regions across the globe, it is here in the village of Chardonnay that it originated. From the village, set off on a 30km bike ride through the heart of this emblematic wine-growing region of the Mâconnais, winding your way through the hillsides and plateaux planted with Chardonnay, of course, just like the vast majority of Burgundy's white wines.
