Canal Circuit

Go for a walk to discover the authentic landscapes of the Saône Valley. The Sentier du Réservoir des Pointes (Spikes Reservoir Path) takes you to the Port Royal, then through meadows and fields before returning to the banks of the Saône and its avenue of hundred-year-old plane trees. You will pass by the water towers nicknamed "the salt and pepper shakers" by the people of Auxone for their unusual shape. On the Canal Path, built heritage, fauna and flora are found side by side along the way. From the Louis XI castle to the lock, follow the course of the water to reach the farmland and market gardens, the emblematic heritage of the Saône Valley.
