In 1715, the memoirs of Jérôme DEPARIS (parish priest of Saint-Saulge from 1710 to 1719) reveal that it was Princess Marie de Nevers who, at the beginning of the 17th century, let loose a few jokes that were revealed more than she would have liked. Others believe they were attributed to Lazare DEPARDIEU, the ingenuous King's prosecutor.
