The Grand Etang de Vaux is a magnificent wilderness site much loved by birds. Two of them are waiting to be discovered: the small kingfisher, whose colours are as bright as its flight, and the large, discreet grey heron.
The dragonfly trail starts on the dike separating the 2 ponds (Vaux and Baye) and heads towards the Perchette pond, where you can discover the pond food chain in the company of the dragonfly. This trail is 1.6km long. On your way back along the same path, you'll find information on the back of the panels describing the particular natural environments of these ponds. Length of visit: 1? hours round trip.
