Boasting a very elegant Romanesque church built in the 14th century & a city stadium, nestled in the heart of the Bresse countryside in the hollow of an agricultural plain dotted with ponds between the bucolic fish-filled rivers of the Sâne & the Seille (natural area classified as "Natura 2000 Zone" for its rich fauna & flora), Brienne benefits from a magnificent surrounding landscaped setting, combining fields of crops, bocage meadows, ponds & vast wild forests, not far from the first vineyards of the Mâconnais.
