Gîte du Capitaine: why this name?
Former captain of the Merchant Navy in Le Havre (Remorqueurs Les Abeilles), I fell in love with the Nièvre, and more particularly with La Collancelle and its inhabitants.
I found there the peace and happiness of living in the old days, quiet and stress-free. I hope that you share my enthusiasm for this region.
The accommodation is located in La Collancelle, a place called Sauvin, 300m from the church
It is a renovated, insulated, wood-covered house, which gives it a nice cachet.

The house has two fireplaces and if necessary, electric radiators, a French window opens onto the terrace.
The accommodation is accessible to disabled people with a stair lift for the bedrooms on the upper level.
Nearby,(1 km) that happiness: the canal du Nivernais with the 16 locks of La Collancelle, the 4 ponds of Baye, Vaux, la Perchette and the pond Gouffier.
The nautical base of Baye is 800m away: beach, swimming, boat hire.
Don't miss to rent a boat at Aquafluvial (by the hour, half-day, full day or more). You will be welcomed by Martine and Michel they are great.
My house is located 20 minutes from the Morvan, an excursion not to be missed as well as Vézelay or Château-Chinon, etc...
10 KM away, Corbigny, a charming village and a stopover on the pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela.
A pension or stopover for horses is possible at 300m at Laura Boussard.
