INDIAN INK, AN ART OF THE MOMENT
Paper transmission workshop with Marion Le Pennec.
This workshop is a time for research and exploration with Indian ink and water. A time to discover the multiple effects and perceive its magic. Here creativity is central and is developed from a certain conception of painting: not to represent nature but to create like it, as Picasso said.
I aim to develop a personal and authentic pictorial writing, the fruit of a unique encounter between each individual and the material. We will see how to inscribe the gesture and the trace in an awareness of the body and of the being because Indian ink implies a certain inner posture. In this sense, it is a master of the moment, a practice that invites spontaneity, openness and acceptance of what happens, accuracy and clarity so that the mystique of life is present. We will possibly use other tools than those usually present in the painter's kit: sponge, vegetable elements, hands, prints... Marion Le Pennec
