Exhibition of Karen GALLE

Karen Galle, a passionate artist, invites you to discover her creative universe through a selection of her most beautiful collage works. A bookbinder by training, it was after her arrival in Burgundy that she took an art therapy course and discovered collage and the game of painting.
Collage is an artistic practice that consists in extracting an image from its initial context to give it a new meaning. It is both a very intuitive and a very structured exercise, often responding to the mood of the moment. Karen Galle says it best: "The stages of construction all have a singular interest: the research is an encounter, the cutting is the satisfaction of a precise gesture, the assembling is a time suspended between dream and reality and finally the collage gives rise to a reasonably stressful excitement. Karen Galle has made this a real passion and will be showing it to you during this fortnight.
In addition to her exhibition, this artist and teacher, based in Buxy, offers collage workshops for all ages in her studio Le Peintelier. But that's not all, she also invites you to discover the game of painting, an educational activity that initiates autonomy, concentration and the ability to project oneself into a large format.
