WHAT IS FAIR TRADE?

Fair Trade is a trading partnership based on dialogue, transparency and respect, which aims to achieve greater equity in world trade.
It contributes to sustainable development by offering better trading conditions and guaranteeing the rights of marginalised producers and workers, especially in the global South.
Fair Trade organisations (supported by consumers) are actively engaged in supporting producers, raising awareness and campaigning for changes in the rules and practices of conventional international trade.

WHY FAIR TRADE?

Marketing products in the Fair Trade circuit ensures that producers have an adequate level of income in the long term.
Fair Trade also allows for the financing of health facilities such as a solidarity fund or financial aid for children's schooling.
