Yannick Cormier, Tierra Magica

The exhibition offers an immersion in the carnival rites of North West Spain and Portugal. The photographs are indecisive, lively and transgressive, imbued with the pulsation of the crowd, revealing the vital forces at the origin of the carnival. With them, Yannick Cormier takes the viewer into the tumult and strangeness of these festivals, which all have in common that they mark time, transgress the established order, and remind society of its intangible link with nature.
