Wakan Takan

Hailing from the south of the Île-de-France region, Wakan Takan is a group of 4 mates stuck on the outer edge between the city and the empty expanses of the Beauce region. They deliver a massive rock sound tinged with pop and psychedelia, while preserving the intimacy of their folk songs. After releasing their first EP (River) in 2019, the band hit the road, playing gigs and festivals such as Download and Essonne en Scène, supporting Shaka Ponk.
The group regularly retreats to a house cut off from the world, which will become a creative residence to best embody their lack of understanding of the world.
It was in the warmth of lamps and an open fire that they produced their second twilight EP, HEAT, steeped in wild vintage rock and modern sounds firmly rooted in the times.
