Le Crescent, a jazz and improvised music club founded in Mâcon in 1995, has evolved considerably to become a venue with local, national and international appeal. The almost family-run structure, which used to welcome its audiences in the cellars of Mâcon's rue Rambuteau, has now moved to the heart of the city centre, on Place Saint-Pierre. This new venue, which opened in 2014, is an exceptional example of the Crescent's status as one of the finest and best-equipped jazz venues in France. Both cosy and spacious, the club features 400m² of vaulted cellars in exposed stone, with a surprisingly warm charm that can accommodate 125 people seated and 260 standing.
