Guided tour of Les Carrières de la Lie

The Carrières de La Lie association and the Groupement Archéologique du Mâconnais have joined forces to promote and showcase this site, which boasts a remarkable historical heritage.
From the Gallo-Roman period to the Middle Ages, these quarries supplied the Mâconnais region with blocks for building, sculpture and the construction of hundreds of sarcophagi.
